The Killers save MTV

Just saw The Killers save MTV.
The 2006 MTV VMA's didn't suck, they blew! The only things that were
great, really great were Beyonce's performance, which stood out and The
Killers, who kicked ass! I was thinking all through "It can't be that
nobody's gonna really rock out" What great energy!
There was some good music, but the over all flow and performances were
kind of poor. Songs that sound great on record just didn't make it
live. A few of the rappers just don't have the chops onstage that
their videos lead us to believe.
Shakira really sucked. The dancing was great, her ass was great and
the costumes of all the perfomers during "Hips don't lie" was spoot
on. But! Her voice just sucked so much. I would accept a playback from
Shakira, cause, yeah, she's dancing her butt off, so why have to worry
about vocals.

It was great to see an actual rock band like the Killers just rock it.
It was a great closer for a show that had lacked energy, that includes
the performances by the kinda Green Day ripoff My Chemical Romance,
and the other guy AAR ( All American Rejects) who gave perhaps one of
the stupidest acceptance speeches.
So, thank you Killers! "When you were young" is an amazing tune. It's
going to be a huge hit. Check it out at myspace.com/thekillers
