Helicopters ablaze
fall from the sky
while populations dazed
danced to a fiery ritual
destruction celebrated with destruction
death applauded with glee
an initial release of anger from repression
followed by the occupier's depression
and questions of "why are we here"?
which too few dare ask
and yet fewer hear
the militants gaze expectantly
while the broadcasters glaze the scenery
phantoms stir in early graves
broken parts of the machinery
